Active Listening: The First Act of Love

WITH HARVILLE HENDRIX, PH.D., AND HELEN LAKELLY HUNT, PH.D.

Online Only

Description:

Talking is the most dangerous thing most of us do, and listening is the most infrequent. Talking without listening annihilates the other, whereas listening to understand reveals the other. Only then can love, as unconditional affirmation, happen. In this webinar, participants will be introduced to and practice a shift from parallel monologue, which has been our way of talking since we learned to talk, to dialogue which we learned as a species about 100 years ago.

This webinar is designed to meet the continuing education needs of LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, & LEPs and is appropriate for all mental health professionals.
